Since 2011, more than 3,000 patients have been protected by a Claret Medical™ Cerebral Protection System

The Sentinel™ Cerebral Protection System (CPS)

Stroke, and decline in brain function, is a devastating complication of cardiovascular procedures, such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), thoracic endovascular aneurysm repair (TEVAR), left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) and transcatheter mitral valve repair and replacement. The Sentinel™ Cerebral Protection System (CPS) is the only device designed to protect the brain from the risk of stroke by filtering, capturing and removing debris dislodged during certain interventional and surgical cardiovascular.

The SENTINEL U.S. pivotal trial is fully enrolled. Data from the trial has been presented as a Late-Breaking Clinical Trial abstract at TCT 2016.

Based on data from the SENTINEL trial, Claret Medical has submitted a marketing application to the FDA for US clearance of the first Cerebral Protection System for TAVR procedures.
